With sales into more than 175 countries, Diversey is a provider of commercial cleaning, sanitation and hygiene solutions. Diversey was recently acquired by Sealed Air. Together, they are the new global leader in food safety and security, facility hygiene and product protection.
Diversey wanted the ability to provide financial results to investors more quickly following the calendar month end. To meet this goal, the project team was challenged with migrating the organization from a 5-4-4 fiscal calendar to a Gregorian calendar. This move facilitated faster and more streamlined financial calendar alignment with Diversey’s acquiring company, Sealed Air.
- Diversey worked with Trissential to plan and deliver the Gregorian calendar to the organization on a global basis, modifying IT application systems and business processes.
- Trissential program managers and platform managers were responsible for overall delivery of this project. They executed the project according to Diversey’s project management methodology, leveraging a “fast-track approach” and consolidating the total project timeline to just 20 weeks.
- Trissential coordinated project efforts with onshore and offshore software development teams, as well as global business team members. To assist in communication and understanding of requirements and design, Trissential’s team led regular status meetings, used a common, collaborative workspace, and managed an issue log that all team members could easily access. The team was highly proactive in communicating and identifying potential issues, and managing them before they became problems.
- Delivered on scope, on benefit, on quality, on time and on budget, Diversey’s Gregorian calendar business process and IT application modifications streamlined financial reporting on a consistent, global basis for the organization. And, the project helped provide a smooth transition to its acquiring company, Sealed Air.
