With sales into more than 175 countries, Diversey is a provider of commercial cleaning, sanitation and hygiene solutions. Diversey was recently acquired by Sealed Air. Together, they are the new global leader in food safety and security, facility hygiene and product protection.
Through multiple product and service offerings, unique formulations, new product introductions and acquisitions, Diversey’s product portfolio has grown significantly. The vast product portfolio, at nearly 100,000 unique products, has created complexity across Diversey, consuming resources and driving costs to the value chain. To optimize its product portfolio, Diversey is reducing the number of SKU’s, simplifying its overall value chain, and reducing sales general and administrative costs.
Diversey worked with Trissential to plan and develop a roadmap to deliver the planned product portfolio optimization. Trissential program managers developed and established the program controls for the overall portfolio optimization program. In addition, they developed the portfolio optimization scope and requirements to facilitate development of a consolidated roadmap and project plan. The goal of the plan is to effectively manage program dependences along with risks and status across a large, global and diverse organization.
Diversey now has a portfolio optimization roadmap which provides the foundation for a core offering of products for global customers. Once implemented, the consolidated product offering will improve customer satisfaction and provide major cost savings for Diversey.
